1999 - One of the world's largest and advanced hospitals of it's
kind with 60.000 sq. meters of floor area, 10 operating theaters, 5 angiography
units and supporting specialty wards including MRI, Pathology, Radiology,
Dialysis, Maternity, and Nuclear Median. Being a research oriented hospital,
there are two amphitheaters, library and research facilities on-site.
Included in the building system are complete emergency back-up utilities,
security and fire
protection mechanisms. This
project was partially funded
by the Islamic Development Bank (IDB).
